Maple Shade, N.J. - The Maple Shade baseball communities continue to pray for 12-year-old Xavier Taylor, a baseball player from Maple Shade currently in critical condition following a tragic accident on Tuesday, May 26th.


On Tuesday, May 26, Taylor was struck in the head by a baseball during warmups at baseball practice at Fellowship Columbia Bank Field in Maple Shade. Taylor was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital, where he is in critical condition.

On Saturday night, members of Taylor’s family, friends, teammates, and members of the community gathered outside Cooper University Hospital for a prayer vigil. Baseball teams across the region have also sent messages sending support to the community.
