Gloucester County, N.J. - Authorities issued an emergency alert ordering residents to immediately disperse from the Bridgeport Speedway area on Sunday, March 29th.
While dispersal orders are rare, they’re a lawful command issued by law enforcement to clear the area due to an emergency. Residents in Gloucester County quickly voiced concerns on social media due to the lack of information.

At this time, it is believed that the dispersal order was due to large “unruly” crowds attending the “Import Expo” which is a car and music event at the Bridgeport Speedway. There were also reports of road closures, accidents, and possible fights that led to a large law enforcement presence.
Local residents said on social media that the crowds left behind significant damage and large amounts of trash, forcing some businesses to close temporarily. Posts described the event as disruptive for both business owners and the surrounding community.
