Cherry Hill, N.J. - The Cherry Hill Police Department has arrested and charged Terrence Roberts, 52, with first degree attempted murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree possession a large capacity magazine in relation to the shooting that took place on Wednesday.


Police responded to Liberty Bell Plaza on Route 70 right before 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of a person who was shot inside of a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found the 61-year-old victim shot inside of a dark colored truck outside of a nail spa.

Following an investigation, detectives used surveillance video footage to tract the suspect’s vehicle back to his residence. Police completed a search of the residence on Thursday, April 16, leading to the seizure of multiple firearms. Roberts was taken into custody following the search and is at the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.


The 61-year-old victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital and was reportedly in stable condition. Police have not released additional details on what led up to the shooting.
